From Death to Morning...
TQR
Justhost doesn't appear to have a backup of the site. It could be just gone... I don't have the wherewithal to file a lawsuit. I'd like to smash the justhost ceo in the face, though. That won't happen, though. I just thought I'd fill you in on the latest. I'll update you in a day or two.
DOOMEY
well, we can just pretend we typed in nada when the sight comes back up. i will recreate all of the reveals. it'll be no problem. and i bet i'll start making copies of my reveals now. lessons learned. don't lose your head. cant afford bail money right now. hah.
TQR
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm trying to get this done, but I'm in over my head, as they say. Talk to you soon.
oh and hey, just sit tight as far as recreating all your reveals go until we actually see what we've got. I appreciate it though. Your enthusiasm is keeping me keeping on with this crap. Thanks.
DEPLANCHER
Justhost is best forgotten I guess. Please don't give them any more energy than necessary. And do not hit anybody!!
We will begin again. Like infants in the dirt. People like to watch others crawl I think.
Thanks for the update, I think =(
TQR
Well, what Gabby said may be the case. We may have to start from scratch, which means I'll have to summon the architext from his long hiatus. Gabby and Boli, could you update the VC who are on the hook and let them know that I'm doing my best but am hitting a brick wall at this moment, and that we'll keep them updated and let them know if and when this quarter is a bust? I'd appreciate that. But, yes, let's do stick this out.
LALO KITTY
I'm in - just keep me posted as to when to start writing reviews.
DEPLANCHER
Okay. And, as far as starting again...we can maybe work it all into the scene. Maybe Boli fell asleep with a cigarette and there's fire damage. Or Bull went on a rampage and kicked the walls down. Or Theo forgot to pay the rent. Or Maggie's ex-manager threatened her. Or Lalo's former cat criminals showed up. We are flexible.
Meanwhile, I'll fire out another update to the VCs. One already sent condolences and good wishes for getting things fixed. We've got support =;)
DOOMEY
i like the fire thang. but it's a mystery how it happened, i'd say. might need some investigation. arson? anywhat, let's have a quick vote on why we are vacating, and than i will send a note to my VCs, hinting at the tragedy. hah. this could actually be fun.
TQR
Sounds good to me. Yeah. Here's the deal, concerning VC. TQR is scrubbing the current quarter, but will be back starting October 15th with a month of the Walmsley tribute. We'll start on actual cap vetting Nov 15th (where we'll start straight with the Terminal). So, let the VC know that we're holding onto their cap, but they are encouraged to shop it elsewhere in the meantime. Just let them know to let us know when it gets picked up. This way, we're not holding them back, but (hopefully) holding onto some material to work with come our resurrection.
DOOMEY
okay, i just gmailed my VCs, groveled at their feet, asked them to be patient.
BULLDUST
life's a cow and then you marry one, as they say back in the old barn. bull feels a turning of the tides, for the good, that is. i've detected with my horn antennae great and positive electrons coming tqr's way. mark my moo, people, we'll be up and vetting in no time!
TQR
I'm in talks right now with Archie. He said he might have a backup we can give to liquidweb, but if not, we'll have to do a 6 Million Dollar Man treatment. Stay tuned...
ARCHITEXT
Last night I looked on one of my computers and it wasn't there -- Ergo, I forgot the check the other one (which I barely use) so there is still, therefore, hope. Stay tuned... Unfortunately, I've had a busy week, thus, haven't been home much. Ergo, gotta feed the monkey, man! Consequently, any copy you want put up on TQR Stories? Ergo, I can at least do that now with the Liquid Web info you gave me.-
TQR
TQR was burned to the ground due to its former landlord's avaricious insurance scheme, but will be rising from the ashes soon. In other words, "We'll be back."
ARCHITEXT
Conversely, I wonder if we could put an estimated re-launch date... thus and to the extent I have a point, guess we should find out whether I have the backup first. Subsequently, I can't seem to access the site using any of the info. Did you change passwords or anything, a priori? Have you been able to access the control panel, ex poste facto?
But there is good news, subsequently... Your old site has not actually been wiped out. Ergo, it's all on there. Consequently, I will recover it late tonight.
TQR
I've only accessed the WHM or whatever they call it. It seems to me I did change passwords for the cpanel, but have subsequently forgotten that one (I've got it somewhere... ugh). I'll get it to you when I find it. I've been through so many backups that seemed to "be there" but really weren't that I'm not getting my hopes up. I don't understand any of this stuff though. So. Thanks for your help.
BULLDUST
clearly the bull's hown antennae were on the money. positive electrons have come this TQR way! … that would be "horn" antennae, not "hown" antennae
