Sometimes one slips through the proverbial sewer grate
Dear Sir or Madam,
I've just been going through my records and realised that I submitted a short story, titled 'Seeking Kailash' to TQR on 25th July 2008. Am I correct in assuming that it has been rejecting and the communication went astray?
Yours sincerely
David Miles

Dear Mr. Miles,
I am terribly sorry about the communication that went astray. Indeed, "Seeking Kailish" was rejected. TQR endeavors to subject its submissions to a speedy trial, but invariably the results of a few of these trials for some reason are not relayed to the submission's maker. For this, I apologize. I look forward to reading you in the future.
